Remote VPN access in China.
This technology is used to provide employees with secure access to the corporate network and its resources via the Internet.
This is especially important when the user is accessing the Internet through a public Wi-Fi hotspot or other insecure connection channels.
A VPN client solution installed on a remote computer or mobile device connects to the company's VPN service gateway, which authenticates and authorizes the user.
If the employee has successfully completed this procedure, they get access to internal network resources (file server, database, printers, etc.) as if they were connected to a local network.
In this case, remote access is usually protected using IPsec or SSL, although the latter focuses on providing a connection to a single application (such as SharePoint or email), rather than the entire internal network.
Using Layer2 over IPsec protocols that link tunneling, such as PPTP or L2TP, is also quite common.
