3 New Grand Seiko Elegance Collection Women’s Watches

For the past five years, Grand Seiko has been creating women's collections to meet the growing interest of female executives and collectors. referee. The STGK002 is the first watch to feature the brand’s new compact mechanical caliber 9S25, designed specifically for small watches. The 9S25 is launched on the 20th anniversary of Grand Seiko’s first modern mechanical movement, the 9S. It incorporates all the innovations found in the 9SA5 movement, from the Spron 610 alloy hairspring to the MEMS engineered pallet fork and escapement wheel.

Following the Caliber 9S25, Grand Seiko launched the 9S27 in 2019, along with five new models based on the 44GS. The watch features long, elegantly curved lugs that extend from the round case and are chamfered along its entire length.

The design softens the sharp edges of the watch while keeping them in line with the core principles found in Grand Seiko’s design grammar guidelines. These five watches all use plain mirror-polished bezels or are inlaid with a ring of diamonds, which enhances the luster of the entire watch. They also come with textured or mother-of-pearl dials, and mother-of-pearl displays with engraved snowflake patterns.

This year, Grand Seiko has further expanded its women's elegance series and launched three new stainless steel watches designed for daily wear, providing women with more choices. The STGK019, STGK021 and STGK023 all feature textured dial patterns and are set with diamonds in different ways to suit a variety of styles and occasions.

The STGK019 is the most decadent of them all, with 45 diamonds on the bezel and 11 diamond hour markers on the dial in a soft pink hue inspired by the colors of spring cherry blossoms. The STGK021 features a diamond-set bezel, faceted bar indexes and a gold-plated seconds hand that complements the pearly white opal-style dial.

Finally, the STGK023 features a mirror-polished bezel, diamond indexes, and a unique light blue color (called “mizu-hanada”) that resembles light indigo. The dials all feature a linen-style embossed pattern, making the watch’s hands and hour markers appear to be floating on the layered fabric.

Powered by the 9S27 movement, these watches have a power reserve of up to 50 hours and a minimum accuracy of +8/-3 seconds per day. They feature a five-link bracelet with a brushed and polished finish that gives it an understated yet luxurious touch. The back of the watch is set with a sapphire crystal, allowing you to freely admire the finishing of this highly compact movement.
