Dover, DE - Kyle Busch won a Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway for a record fifth time after leading the final 101 of 200 laps in Saturdays Dover 200. Joey Logano started on the pole and dominated the first half of this race by leading 95 of the first 99 laps, but during a round of pit stops under caution on lap 100, Busch beat Logano out of the pits and took command from there. Busch beat Logano to the finish line by 2.5 seconds for his fifth Nationwide win of the season and the 68th of his career. Busch, the driver of the No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, scored a season-sweep at Dover in the series. He won the spring event here in May. It was good for us to be able to get out front like that and get out in clean air and show what this car had for speed, Busch said. Our race setup is really good, but it doesnt qualify very good. Its a handful in qualifying, to say the least. But these guys (No. 54 team) did a great job, and Im very proud of that. Busch also had a season-sweep at Dover during the 2010 Nationwide season. Logano won both races at this one-mile, concrete-surfaced track during the 2012 and 13 seasons. The first half of the race went perfect, and we had a very fast car that led a lot of laps, Logano said. When we came in (pit road) to put four tires on, we lost the lead. Our car was really tight from there on, and I really dont understand why yet. Busch and Logano are among the 16 drivers presently in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Busch will start second and Logano 16th in Sundays 400-mile Sprint Cup Series race at Dover. Logano won last Sundays Chase race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and secured a spot in the next round of the playoffs, the Contender Round. Busch, currently fifth in Sprint Cup points, is guaranteed of moving on in the Chase if he finishes 21st or better at Dover. Chase Elliott finished third and widened his lead in the Nationwide championship standings to 26 points over second-place and JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith, who crossed the line in eighth. On lap 40, Elliott sustained slight damage to the front end of his No. 9 Chevrolet when he was caught up in a wreck involving Tanner Berryhill and Kevin Swindell on the frontstretch. Elliott had to pit multiple times for repairs during the caution and fell back to the last car on the lead lap in 24th for the restart. He patiently made his way back into the top-five before the halfway point. I was gonna give it my best shot, regardless of however the thing looked like, so Im really proud and frustrated at the same time, Elliott said. I felt like we had a good car from the get-go. I made a mistake just following too close behind those guys (Berryhill and Swindell) off of (turn) 4. I saw it coming, and I couldnt stop fast enough. Chris Buescher finished fourth, followed by Elliott Sadler, Kyle Larson and Brian Scott. Trevor Bayne and Ty Dillon completed the top-10. Five races remain this season. The series will be at Kansas Speedway next weekend. Cheap Custom Jerseys China . TSN 1290s coverage begins with Hustler & Lawless at 3pm. Rick Ralph hosts the Official Jets Pre-game Show at 5pm.
