Turning Computer Into Access Point

Hey All,

I am trying to turn my desktop (that is hardwired) into an access point so my cell phone and other devices can connect to the internet through it.

It is a computer that i built myself, the motherboard does not have built-in WiFi or Bluetooth. Motherboard: ASUS Z170-A

I am running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, and trying to use its built in Mobile Hotspot feature.

I bought a TP-Link Archer T4U (usb WiFi Adapter) to be the WiFi adapter that i would use as the access point. when it is plugged in, the mobile Hotspot works but my phones will NOT stay connected to the signal. They connect and disconnect every couple of seconds.

I tried to troubleshoot myself and came across a thread that told me to check if the adapter is compatible with host connections by using command NETSH WLAN it says it isn't. However a Microsoft forum guy said the adapter was compatible.

So i am at a loss here for what to do... any ideas on how to turn my desktop into an Access Point?

Please help....

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
